The ministry of Elder Donald began September 1986 in Oxnard, California. Under the leadership of his First Pastors, Bill and Olivia Cannon. He moved quickly through the fields of winning souls for Christ. realizing that he could not stay with Christ without a life of prayer, he quickly asked the Lord for that very thing. It was his praying and fasting that gave to him the wherewithall to fulfill God's
words. Elder Donald quickly became involved with door to door evangelism, street meetings, and home bible classes, convalescent home meetings and a host of others. Then in September 1988, the Lord told him that he was going to make him like Paul; he began to travel
though the Navy, extensively around the world, holding bible classes, counseling, preaching, teaching, and baptizing people in the name
of Jesus for the remissions of thier sins and they were filled with the Holy Ghost. He continued to preach the oneness message of Jesus
Christ. After his fifth of seven cruises to the other side of the world, Elder Donald knew the Lord was calling him to start a ministry at home. Under the guidance of the late Bishop Charles L Taylor, he waited 3 more years until he retired out of the Navy in July. Four
months later, November 5, 2000, the church doors of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church opened. With a fine send off from Pastor
Dwayne Sheppard, saints, and friends of Greater Apostolic Faith Temple Church ("The Home Church"), FTAC would and has
become a church where souls would be saved, talents would be discovered, needs met and where everyone is employed by God.
Lady Lindy Donald was baptized and filled with the spirit of God as a child at Bethleham Temple Church of Los Angeles, under the leadership of her Grandfather, Bishop William L. Smith. She has an extinctive background qualifying her for just about any position in
the church, i.e. preach, teach, sing, direct, and posseses strong organization abilities. With a unique family heritage, she has had several mentors: her grandmother, Mother Geneva Smith; her mother, Evangelist Rita Greer, her Aunt, Dr. Genevieve Shepard; First Lady Mary Richardson, First Lady Deloris Hall, First Lady Esther Taylor, and First Lady Selena Shepherd. Also strength and encouragement from her four sisters, Karina (Joy), Evangelist Rita Pete, Evangelist Angela Etheridge, Geneva Lockwood, her brother, Bishop Robert L. Etheridge II; and her cousin/sister, First Lady Deborah Rose. Gifted with amazing strength through Jesus Christ, Pastor Donald and her have been blesssed with one son, Antonio , three daughters, Monique , Yvonne, Dionne; four granddaughters, Aaryn, Aaliyah, Aasia, and Anaya; three grandsons, Tysons Jr. Isaiah-Bryce, and Anthony . She has also been blessed with one son-in-law, Tyson Sr. and one daughter-in-law, Ayana. Lady Lindy Donald's mission is to uplift the Word of God and encourage women to grow spiritually, emotionally, personally and naturally in Christ Jesus.
We Believe in the one baptism as recorded in acts 2:1-4,38 10:44-48 and 19:1-6 is evidenced by the speaking in other tongues as the spirit gave utterance as the initial evidence thereof.
We Believe the New Birth (being born again) includes a genuine repentance, water baptism in Jesus name, and baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidences in other tongues asthe spirit gives the utterance.
We believe in the one God who is infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purposes, as well as omniscient and omnipresent.
We Believe He revealed to us as Father in creation, as Son in redemption and Holy Spirit in His grace that never leaves those who trust Him.
We believe that Jesus was both human and divine, and further, that the Godhead be understood to mean all the fullness of God. (Colossians 1:19 and 2:9)
Vision statement
We visualize a body of believers, mighty in God, pulling down the strongholds of Satan in the lives of people. Santified Believers, that are totally involved in their purposes. Who know that they are saved, who know where they are going and who know what they are doing. Completely satisfied, excited and commited to the plans of our creator God, soverign savior, Jesus Christ.
